Some fatal problems

Hi

Just received one MX211 USB display yesterday and began to install. Everything went fine, drivers from the CD, LCDC installed, configured and running. Then, suddenly the machine boots. After that I tried for few hours to start up, only to receive 0x0000007E error (USB related).

Then I tried to do some repairing installations of WinXP but that was useless. I had to install WinXP all over again. Now there's MO's v1.1 drivers (found a link from the BBS), MBM and LCDC in use. It may work for half an hour and then crashes. Without LCDC the problem looks like it's gone.

I might be the first one to experience this much of bad luck, and hopefully the last. The product is great but I sure would want it to work with my comp :)

(EDIT: fixed the model correctly this time)

Hello...

To be honest you are the first person to have this type of problem...Try to uninstall all the drivers as well as LCDC and reinstall...The following link may be of use to you: http://www.lcdforums.com/forums/viewtop ... 1&start=15 Especially the post by DrBob147

Let me know how you make out...

Hi

Thanks for the link, I'll have to check it out. But now when I added some cooling this comp seems stable. It's ~30C outside, not so usual weather and that may also be the reason.

I will report later on this issue, let's see how long uptimes I can achieve.

I recently had similar problems, make sure yuo got a good heatsink/fan on the CPU, and good cooling in the case, some front and rear fans... After I replaced my 2200XP HSF that came with it to a Volcano 9 I never had nother problem.

Looks like it was only a heat problem. I got a watercooled setup and the temps have got a little bit out of hands :) (problem fixed, more fans will do the job)

I still suspect that the original problems had something to do with the drivers in the supplied CD. That problem didn't go away with better cooling, only installing from scratch helped me out.

Are you still having problems with the drivers and if not what did you do to resolve the issue?

No problems anymore, drivers from forum (Version 1.1 May 27, 2003) work perfectly.

There is a mistake in the drivers that came on the CD... this has been fixed but we are still seeing it on and off... Glad it's all working, make sure to post pictures.
