Need technical opinion

I'm building a new HTPC and have a new case. It came with a 20 x 2 VFD from Samsung with a parallel interface. I don't like it. I want to get a MO but I am torn between some models. In the case I have the VFD it is mounted behind a dark plexiglass window. I can see the VFD fine. I could just replace it with one of your VFD with a serial interface. But I would really like to use a USB interface which brings me to your LCD models. I am curious if anyone would know or could give me a good idea if the LCD's with the USB connections are bright enough to see OK behind a dark plexiglass window. How dark? Well I am lost for words there but like I said I can see the VFD fine through it. I'm thinking one of the blue lcd's. Recommendations please. (I may be able to go 20 x 4 so I'll throw that in the mix too.)

Hello...

To be honest a VFD is much brighter than any of our LCD models...If you can be patient we will be releasing a VK202-24-USB in the very near future. If you cannot wait, my best piece of advice would be trial and error with the LCD-USB's...

Thanks for the info Miles. So I guess I can wait a little while. (Whatever "little while" means in this business) So while I'm waiting I'll volunteer to be a beta tester for your upcoming VK-202-24-USB model. I'll even pay for the product for the privilege of helping you guys work out any possible bugs. <:) (Thought I'd throw that in there just in case-you never know) I have the feeling if I did try out the LCD I might not be as happy as with the VFD. And if I was happy with the LCD I would wonder if I might have been happier with the VFD. A vicious circle. :)
