I just got the LCD from ebay, they don't say on them anywhere that they are wide voltage, but nothing happens when 5v is applied. The chip (red arrow pointing to it) is labeled:

10
16V

Would this happen to be a wide voltage LCD?
The diode below the power connecter has a 5 on it that is visible.
Hopefully I didn't get burned on ebay, got 2 modules, one of which is supposed to be new, still has the plastic film covering the LCD.

Yes, that LCD is wide voltage. You can tall by the voltage regulator above the power connector.
