Com port 2 problem

I have a USB MX2 LCD screen and dispite configuring it to com port 15 and it working fine, if I restart LCDC it continues to try to find it on com port 2.
This produces an error and I need to go back to configure screen and re test the screen on com port 15
How can I may it stay on 15?

it doesn't, in your control panel move the COM Port setting from 15 down to 4 or 5 as LCDC only supports upto 9 COM Ports currently.

I can set the screen to almost all of the comports but it only works when you send something to the screen when I set it to 15.

In the CONTROL panel you can change the port setting for any COM Port, change it from what ever you have down to 6 or something and then set LCDC to that COM port.
