I have just recived my nice new desplay but cart get it to do anything,
once i have made all nessary connections and powerd up the desplay, stet all settings i cannot change the display just ha graphics in any direction with 4 arrows on screen.

when i start up lcdc and start the desplay the desplay starts flickering but if i click on stop it stops flickering?



And now after it flickering the screen has gone blank

Can you turn the backlight off/on, contrast up/down? The reason I ask, is if you can perform these two functions then you are communicating with the display and we can look elsewere for the problem!

I could uptill the text disaperd , i used lcdc but the problem seemed like the display would not clear the orignal txt off the screen (graphics in both directions ) i could comunicate with the lcd but whatever i sent would not be displayed the screen would start flashing.

But then i lost the display and now carnt get comms eather

Now Tryed the manual overide and still no go.

Sounds like the 4BR cable is wired wrongly to me, will you take a look at your cable and tell me what order the black, green and orange wires go into the plug please
