Odd keypad input from LK162-12

Hello,

Recently acquire three LCD modules (LK162-12). For display they work perfectly: Characters, contrast, bars, OK. But, for input (using the 4x4 keypads from Picofab), the function is odd.

Accord to the manual, the serial input from a Keypad must be an single ASCII code for each key pressed between

Which LK162-12 version is this? it will say on the back of the PCB..

In the back of PBC say:
LK162-12
R.210

Plus serials of three units are:
02m12 - 1237, 1238, 1239
