Controller2k2 : Ok - MM5 (MBM) plugin now picks up and displays C or F depending on your setting in MBM rather than you having to set it again!

Delta: Yes it would be possible to have a plugin to do that, althogh I don' tknow if there would be much demand for it, so I can't see me writing it (can't write everything!)

Cypher: No you can't control the interval between gpo flashing, but you can use the currect flash option to have you fans running at about 1/2 speed (I've tested this but not monitored the speed yet, but this does work)

Delta - I did give some thought before to adding an overlay character but did not add it... it's something I'll have to think about. What you could do is setup a LED to one of your GPO's and turn that on/off on new mail...

i've been thinking of doing that, but then i want one GPO for switching my fans from 5v to 12v, and the other i had some pretty elaborate plans for..

First I'd like to say that your program is simply the best. But theres a small "bug" in it. When I define a animated char like this: "-|/" when the display shows "|" then it looks like a "Y" with a line through.
And I would like a "keypad testing ground" where I could test wich output the different keys gives.

The | character doesn't exist on the LCD displays (bummer and it does on a VFD) so that don't work, which is a real shame cause I like that spinner. If you go into the test screen then that will show you key values when you press them :smile:

OOPPPS I meant the character not the | but if you have a VFD you can use [##140] instead of which will work, and if you really want you could setu custom character 5 as by adding the lines to the common.lcdc-dfc file :-
to [CustomCharacters] section
5=[##0][##16][##8][##4][##2][##1][##0][##0]

to [Characters] Section
BackSlash=[##5]

to [VirtualCharacterMap] section
5=

then setup your spinner as "/-[##5]|" for forwards and "/|[##5]-" backwards...

Phew!

I've got a questions about the MM5 dll. I downloaded the full install of LCDC a couple days ago, which included the MM5 dll (It's 80k). I read above that you'd changed the MM5 dll to have LCDC display in C/F depending on how MM is setup. Well, the version that was included with the download doesn't do it so I downloaded the new one from your web page (MM5 - Motherboard Monitor 5 v1.01 157kb ). When I launch LCDC with the new DLL in place I get errors about invalid events, etc.

Is this a known issue?

Yes, I had to change part of the plugin interface, after I took all the time to put those plugins up there :sad: Best of downloading the new version (it won't overwirte any of your settings) as long as you don't have a customised version of "example" control file...

LCDC on my GLK-12232,

Image

(the little musical notes animate when a song is playing, looks really cool),

and,

Image

Not as pretty - the variable length of the network traffic values makes it look a little odd when they're small, looks better when I'm in the 100's though :wink:

:grin:

Will put up a simple install for glk12232 users who want to copy my setup soon, just testing it atm...

Cheers,
