Hi Steve,
First up, the design looks great as always. At first it looks like it may be hard to get at the buttons through the mount, but I suppose those could very well be mounting holes for push buttons.
Second, for the usb power, I believe it comes standard, so if anything there may be some unsoldering to be done. Unfortunately, I don't have a unit with me right now, but I'll try to take a look and confirm that for you tomorrow.
Third, for LEDs, as the manual states, you'll have a max output of about 20mA for each of the six (6) GPOs. This can be increased with modification, but if you've just got simple GPOs on there, you should be below that limit anyway.
The max current for the unit will actually come from the USB connection, which is listed in the manual as 500mA. I don't have the numbers on the -24 version, but the -25 runs about 356mA, so you should be able to squeak out the max 120mA on the GPOs.
Finally, I believe you may be correct about the manual; it is for PCB 1.0, and it looks like you've got the 1.1. Like my colleague has said, there will be little difference between the two wave for the obvious cosmetics.
Hope that helps, I'll try to get some more info for you tomorrow, in the mean time, just let me know if you've got any more questions or concerns.
Thanks,
~Troy
NEW Project: 204-24-USB LCD and extras :)
Hi Steve,
Just to confirm the USB power jumpers, the process should be to remove the PS connection, and bridge the U connection. DO NOT bridge BOTH and power.
The USB ports on my computer are a little iffy, so although I can't verify successful communication, I can confirm that nothing bad will happen. Power to both connections with both jumpers, however, will definitely harm your display and/or your USB bus.

thanks
