Detecting multiple key presses on MX2

Not really. It's just how the keypad detection works (on the basis of rows and columns). When you press two keys it may take the row of one button and the column of another. The way the matrix keypads work, it is impossible to actually tell if there is multiple key presses in some circumstances.
