Why isn't this information included in the instruction manual?

Unfortunately, the manual is quite old, and it will need to be updated. We are producing new documentation, so this manual will also be eventually updated. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. We also provide information on installing the unit in a ecd that comes with your display.

Here is an update for everyone.
We will no longer be including the ecd that normally came with some of our displays. Ahhhhh, but not to worry. We have something better!
We provide all our manuals and software downloads online at our Tech Support site at
http://www.matrixorbital.ca and questions may be posted on our forum site at
http://www.lcdforums.com/forums
The reason: we continually update our manuals and information on the website, but do not with the ecd's. Therefore, you are able to continually download all the lastest information and not be stuck with the out of date ecd. As you all know, we are always coming up with improvements and want you to be able to benefit from this information.
Happy Downloading!
Thanks,

vk-204-25-usb driver/com3 problem

I'm having problems with my display unit. The unit has been working fine for a while now, but after I reinstalled xp I could never get it to work again. I tried installing the driver from the disk, then from the MO website. Neither one has worked. Currently the port and usb controller are showing MO USB Broadcast Driver (com3). When I turn on lcdc and search for the com port, it says Device Unknown Com3. I disconnected the power & usb. Restarted ...reconnect...still doesn't work. By the way, I was in Calgary back in July, just after Stampede. I didn't realize that M/O is from there. Everyone there thought 85-90deg F was hot, but I was loving the wonderful weather compared to Texas heat. Beautifull with the hills everywhere. Plan on going back in '08 and maybe take the wife to Banff.

Hi jros3e,
The vista driver is on our website
http://www.matrixorbital.ca/drivers/
You would want the one under this heading:
USB Drivers for LK/VK/PK202-24-USB, LK/VK/PK204-24-USB and MX2, MX3, MX4, MX5 and MX6 displays.
Please let me know if you require further assistance.
Thank you,
Clare

That file is included in the zipfile on our site, make sure you unpacked all files from the zip file to a single folder and install from there.

I unpacked all files from the zip and double klick FTDIUNIN. The windows
install the driver but after i connect the unit the windows can not find them!

FTDIUNIN is the Driver UN Install application, what you should do is unpack the drivers to a folder, plug in the device then point windows to the folder you unpacked the driver in. All should be fine after that.

Hello again!
After installing another internal USB-device, I can't get my VFD working (VK202-25 USB). The problem occurs when I try to install the USB drivers: The first part of the installation is OK, but during the installation of the second driver the system seems to crash and the PC does a reboot. So it's not possible to install the second driver properly which means that I cannot control the display.
I tried the display installation on 2 different systems (both WIN XP) with the latest driver version (2.07).
I hope you can give me some advices.
Best regards,
Peter_Shaw
