The problem has to do with the database file. When the database file was created LK202-24 USB was of type 0x02, however due to some updates in the firmware the type has been changed to 0x36.
To fix this problem follow these steps:
1. Run LCD Tester
2. Select File -> Manage LCD Database
3. Select LK202-24-USB from the Name dropdown box
4. Click on Edit LCD
5. Change Type from 0x2 to 0x36 (That is number zero and lower case 'x' for Hexadecimal number.)
6. Click on Update LCD
7. You should get an update confirmation. Click OK.
8. Click Close and you are done.
I will update the database file so that new downloads will not have to follow these steps to connect to the new versions of LK202-24-USB.
