MX222 MAJOR PROBLEM!!!! PLZ HELP

Post by danielrostron »

Hey all.
Bought miself one of the MX222 displays and to put it bluntly it just aint workin....i turned off comp...installed exactly as instructions say....plugged it in to spare usb slot....fired up comp and when i got to windows it just says USB Device Found....Unknown USB Device....then nothing...doesnt autodetect it as a MO MX2xx or anything.....i tried to go into System and install the drivers manually but its not for letting me do it....ive tried doing it with the drivers off the eCD and the new v11 ones off net but its really annoying me now as ive spent a lot of money on something that just displays Matrix Orbital MX222.........why isnt Windows XP Pro not detecting it?!?!?!?!?!?
NEED HELP ASAP PLEASE!!!!

Cheers

There is no need to swear, did you download the newest drivers and use them? What model is the display? where did you get it?

Have you tried updating your drivers in the device manager...point to the appropriate drivers from the forums...

hey right..

tried installing the drivers off CD and downaloded the new v1.1
when i try to update drivers in windows with both sets of drivers, it says, the drivers contain no information about the hardware... that cnat be right.
there for it will not let me install any drivers.

in device manager, it is listed under USB as an unknown device, no yellow exclaimation mark next to it, just says unknown device.
have intellipoint mouse in the other usb, and also tried swopping them around the usb to. still the same..

i am going to try in another computer in amoment, if it works, then something wrong at my end, if it dont work, then it could be a dodgey unit.. will let u know

let me know...if it doesn't work on the other system and exhibits the exact same result, then we can make the assumption that the problem lies within the display...when you try it on the new system, make sure you use the drivers from the forum...
