im gonna very soon here be buying a Lk204-25 inverted wide voltage, and was curious, could i hook up a 120 volt device to it, with some sort of relay?
i saw this done to the Lk204-25pc, what about this model? thanks

An optically isolated module would be safest. Here is a beefy one that may work--go to Digi-Key and search for Z918-ND, or here is adirect link to the data sheet:

thank you very much, didnt think anyone was gonna reply, i was gonna go with the lk204-25pc but i wanted a inverted blue screen

That item that BR linked is great, but maybe overkill (25A!) for your needs.

I'd suggest having a look for an optocoupled triac, then using it to switch a triac that's selected to match the load characteristics. You'll save a buncha money, which you can spend on fuses. :lol:

The site that I think explains this idea the best is the Discolitez site. They've got drawings and such, aimed at driving lamps from the parallel port, but easily adapted for your situation.

Hello...

I agree with linear. The only problem you may run into is the complexity of the cct. Hey if I could do it, I'm sure you can! The solid state relays are probably the easiest to set up but cost more. I ran a mini water pump, controlled by a PIC microcontroller using a Clare PD2401 3ma solid state relay and it worked great!!
