checking blk-202a-bk---cold cathode control??

Post by Spike13 »

Since this is Boxing Day I was checking 1 of the web sites selling a LCD drive kit: the Blk-202A-BK & after scouring the reviews & looking thru this forum, can I hook up a cold cathode light (with an inverter) directly to 2 of the GPO pins without having to build some extra circuitry? Currently I am controlling the light using a toggle switch. Going thru a keypad set to control on/off in addition to having info scrolling on a display would be more elegant

Txs,

:)

No, not directly you can't.

Here's the circuit you need to build: http://www.bit-tech.net/article/96/
BLK202A-4BR-BK + LK202-25-WB-V + LK204-25-V + VK204-25-V + LK-202-24-USB + MX212
