baud rate ?

What would happen if I increased the baud rate rate of my lcd over 19200? Will it look better or will it do nothing at all?

Nothing will happen, but if the software doesn't have propper flow control, bad things may happen on the LCD... there is no need to go over 19.2K for most application.
