Hi,
I purchased a LK204-25 about a year ago, and it always worked fine. But now, for an unknown reason, nothing shows on the screen. I verified with a multimeter and my power supply gives it a regular 5 volts...
Should the LCD show the blinking cursor even if the serial cable is not attached?
How can I verify if the unit is burnt or dead in any way?
Thanks!

my solution
I have the PC version of your display. I have the same problem.
I send a email to matrix orbital with my solution not professional but it runs.
I put a switch in the +5V power cord. If i push the buttom the power doesn't go, buy if i don't push it goes.
Well when i power on my computer the lcd don't show the logo. If i push the switch some times (three, four or five normally) the lcd displays the logo and my LCDC program works very well.
I'm happy for my display works but i don't like the solution.
I hope that this help you.
Can anybody explain me the problem? Can you send me a solution more proffesional?
I try into another two computers and the problem continues then the origin of the problem don't is the power supply and don't cable power too.
Thanks and excuse me for my english.
