I am new at this, just received my unit Friday 9/6/2002 LK202A and have been setting it up under LCDC all day.

I am have a problem with it checking for email.

I use AT&T Cable service and set it up as follows:

Name: JUJU
TYPE: POP3
HOST: mail.attbi.com
Account:.........@attbi.com
Password*************

I tried changing the HOST to: http://www.attbi.com, but get the same results.

I have it set to check every 30 mins.

When I run a test it comes back with no status. (display is always no mail waiting)

Then I start up outlook and it goes out and poll and pulls in mail, which mean I did have mail, but LCDC always say no mail.

What am I doing wrong??

Just use the name that is in front of the "@attbi.com" in the account block.

That's what "........."

Example: juju@attbi.com

Still does not work.

Currently I have 4 email waiting to be pulled as shown on my home page. I have not pulled them with outlook as I am using them to test with under LCDC.

Keep comming back with 0 email.

Are you saying to leave the @attbi.com off??
If so, I will give that a try.

I tried it and it still does not work.

Also when I save it, the "Test these mail setting" Icon stay gray will not let me click on it for a test.

So I saved it and clicked on check email. It came back with "No Mail Waiting"

Under outlook it is set up as follows:

Name: AT&T Mail

User Information
Name:--------------
Email address: ------@attbi.com

Servers
POP3
Incomming Mail: Mail.attbi.com
Outgoing Mail: Mail.attbi.com

Account Name: --------
Password: ---------

I got it working, found that I should have ran "test these mail setting" prior to saving and that my password should have been in upper case. Sorry for all the posts.

Ahhh, such a simple mistake... I wish programs would actauly show you the password the first time you are entering it. This would have saved me hours of pain and suffering in the past.
