I'm ordering the GLK12232-25-SM today and I know that it only has two GPOs, but the only thing I really need them for is Email alert. I also know that the 12232 has a low GPO output. That should still be enough to power an LED for email, correct?

I've seen several posts out there regarding email LEDs, but I was wondering if someone could give me some specific instructions on how to hook up an email LED for the GLK12232-25-SM? (Note: I'll be using LCDC for software... of course) :-)

Thanx,
iJOAT

The LEDs on the front of the average computer case run on 2.0-2.5volts so 5volts should be more than enough.

Yup, will work just fine... done it with an LK202-25 (ah, I think.. can't seem to remember those numbers).
Anyways, LCDC is a breeze to use:
Just setup a your mail accounts, check every so-and-so minutes, and set it to flash the GPO1-2-3..6 when incoming mail is received. Mine also shows which account got mail and how many new messages on the LCD until the messages are retrieved. It then switch back to normal display mode, bypassing the mail screen!!! Pretty freaking sweet... trust me!
