What are the LCDers gonna do when we lose serial ports?
Like on the Abit AT7 Max.

I was looking at that as well. Them we'll really have to have a USB solution. You realize what the S stands for, right?
I have an old Toshiba Infinia 7xxx series with an "InTouch Control Module" that has a programable LCD display, IR, and control buttons from like 98, and it connects through USB.

i'm sure MO will at least release a serial>usb connector for their LCDs

You can always use a RS232---> USB converter... you can get those at any computer store...

Hey henry!
Did you test such a setup? Some new USB 2.0 cards have 1 internal USB port. That would be nice plugging the LCD without wires outside the case.

Cool might look into that would be a much better way of routing the cabling
PS My LCD has arrived in the UK but DHL couldnt read the airbill and have rung me up to find out my address

Just out of curiousity, has anyone tried one of this converters in Linux, and if so what model converter did you use, and what software to drive it? Thanks in advance.
