EGLK19264 VPT - No 5vcc on GPO header

Post by PierreArch09 »

I was hoping to tap on the 5vcc pin of the GPO header on my EGLK19264A-7T-FGW-VPT-PL unit to power a micro controller, but it appears to be open. I do not measure any voltage between pin 7 and any grounds.

Probing around, I measured 4.9vdc in one side or R77 and R75 solder pads, as both those resistors are not populated.

Can I safely solder a jumper across one of those resistors to bring power to GPO pin7?

Please advise,

Raquel

Hello Pierre,

Thank you for posting on the forum.

You may solder a zero resistor on R75 and you will get 5V on the GPO header, bottom right, marked 5V.
You may supply up to 500mA from the 5V rail.

Please note though that any soldering on the unit voids the warranty.

Thank you,
