I am not quite sure what you mean... What if the computer is a laptop and it doesn't have USB? Where can I get 5v from? What pin do I run the power to? How does that work?
Also, when I pull the power from the cigarette lighter, there are 2 lines, a positive and a negative. On the back of the LCD screen it takes a power connector with 4 wires. Where do I get the other two?
Thanks...

lol if the laptop doesn't have a USB port then you can't use a USb portOn 2002-02-18 10:48, webstarxpress wrote:

The four power lines on the lcd are there only in spirit - so it's easy to interface with a floppy connector, on 5V lcds the 12v line isn't connected and two of the lines are earthed. I assume on the wide voltage the 5V line is missing. So you see there's only really two power connectors on the lcd

Cheers,
r.
