Truning off Backlight on PC Shutdown?

Quick question, but is there a way to get the display to switch off the backlight when I shut down the PC. Currently the only way to do this is to switch the PC off at the powersupply.

Its actually fixed in the beta firmware you have access to, if its still an issue atfer you upgrade let me know i'll take a look at it.

Henry, I've just installed my GX and would love it if its display would shut off when my computer is powered down. Would you be so kind as to direct me to the beta firmware you have mentioned. Thank You.

I now see that I'm added to the beta group, what's next? Also I've requested a license for LCD Studio. When will I recieve it so I can start playing with the GX? Thank You!

Licenses get send as soon as you hit send, if the license gets stuck in a spamfilter or something there's also a direct download link on the 'your license has just been send' page.

Further then that get the latest software from the beta forums, follow the upgrade manual and you should be all good to go!

Thanks Ray, I just sent a new request to my outlook email rather than hotmail. I got the license and LCD studio is up and running now. I gotta wait til after work to give this puppy a go.

Onto my first subject and please forgive but about the beta firmware, how do I download this so I can flash it to the GX.

In the GX Beta forums there's a topic called 'software drop' which contains the latest software open it up and click the download links

Hi Ray,

Sorry to reply to a thread that is a couple of weeks old but it seemed related.

Is there any chance of getting added to the beta as well? I have a Matrix Orbital GX Typhoon blue/white that I would really like to have the backlight go off when I shutdown.
