Help...just wish to purchase graphic LCD!!!
Love your LCD's, was looking at the MX421 or MX422, but do you have a similar board (fan/temp plugs) with a nicer display (graphic LCD, like GLK series). I would still like to utilize one of your brushed aluminum mounting brackets as I think this would look great in my new Silverstone TJ-07. I have up to three 5.25 bays to place the device in. Thank you in advance for the recommendations.

GX Typhoon
I was just about to order a Soundgraph imon Ultrabay, but now I have seen the Typhoon, the soundgraph is out the window!
Any idea of price for this display yet, I am in England and there are not many places where Matrix Orbital displays can be bought. I hope some of them will stock this unit.
Cheers
Richard

Hi Richard,
I am glad to see you are excited about the Typhoon. So are we!
This product should be released soon.
If a distributor in your area does not stock this product, you can always requested that they order it in for you. Most distributors will do that.
I am not absolutely sure about the price yet however, I think it will be around $99 USD but please do not quote me on that.
Thanks and let me know if you have any more questions.
Clare

Your site states January? Why is there no sign of them three months on out of interest?Clare wrote:Hi Richard,

Hi Richard,
Thanks for following up on the GX release.
The reason it is not yet released is that we are still perfecting it.
Even though our engineers make reasonable estimates as to release dates, as with all things, the unexpected happens.
We do not want to release this product until we are 110% satisfied that it is absolutely perfect. The worst thing we could do is release a product because customers are getting anxious and then have it fail on you.
Everyone is frustrated that the release was set for December and it is now April. We are overwhelmed with questions about it's release and the only thing I know is that it is coming, it is great, and it will be worth the wait.
Regards,
Clare

Is there just one basic version of the 'Typhoon'? Or are there ones with and without the remote control for example?Clare wrote:Hi Richard,

Hi NeilF,
The Typhoon that is being released, is just the display byitself with the built it IR sensor.
The remote control will be available for purchase seperately as an accessory.
Therefore, if you did not want to purchase the remote control, you will not have too but the unit will still have the IR sensor.
Thanks,
Clare

Oh! So for the majority of people - who probably don't want the remote - they still get a big red IR senser on the panel which in some ways spoils the look of it?Clare wrote:Hi NeilF,

That seems like a real shame surely?
Or is the fitting of the sensor optional, and an aluminium "plug" can optionally be put in its place or something?

Hi NeilF,
To be honest, considering this produt has not yet been released or finalized I am unsure whether or not the mounting bracket will be available without the IR sensor hole.
I have a GX Thyphoon proto-type in front of me right now. It is just the display and board without the mounting bracket and to be honest, the IR sensor is quite small, not as big as the picture on the website looks (that is a mock up).
Also, the mounting bracket is removable and you could surely either make your own bracket to not include the IR hole, or considering this is a standard display size, find another bracket to use.
Either way, the point is, until this product is officially released, I do not have any information that is set in stone, and therefore, am not able to jump to conclusions about how this will affect every customer.
Once this product is released, everyone will be able to see all the options available and what is doable and what is not.
Thank you for your thoughts.

Thanks for the feedback. The size of the IR in the promo was large and hence my concernClare wrote:Hi NeilF,

Hi Reala,
We are not accepting pre orders yet. This is something we have thought of doing but have not yet made a final decision on.
Ahhh, we are so close......
If we do decide to take pre orders, I will put a post on the forum that we are doing so.
Thanks!
Clare
