Post by gpjuan »

Hi all,

Im working on a new Mod PC and want to add in a LCD screen, something I've never used before and nead some advice.

I'm thinking about useing a water cooling system with a mCubed T Balancer XL fan controller, Its softwear cames with a plugin for the JalCDs LCD controll softwear. Are the Matrix orbital desply compatiple with JalCDs or can some recomend an other program that the fan controller will work with.

Also dose any know of a internal USB hub so I can run the fan controller and posibly the screen off the a USB headder on my mother bord and still have anoth conections for the case.

Hi gpjuan,

Thanks for posting at the forum.

If you get any of the MX series displays, you wouldn't need to purchase a mCubed T Balancer XL fan controller. The MX series already has a built in fan controller for you. You also will be able to connect dallas one wire temperature probes for sensing temperature. An application for set up will be to have the fan turn on at a specific temperature or increase fan speed. You will be able to program the fan and probes using the software called LCDC. For information on LCDC, you can refer to http://www.lcdc.cc/about.htm or http://forums.lcdc.cc/index.php?act=idx .

The MX series can also be powered via internal USB cable.

For more detailed information on one of the MX series displays, you can refer to a manual at http://www.matrixorbital.com/files/LK202-24-USB_02.pdf .

You can check out some pictures of case mods at http://www.lcdforums.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=498 .

If you have anymore questions or concerns, please feel free to post.

Best Regards, :D

sorry I did not make my self very clear in fact i want to use the fan controller as it has a very good range of sencors, 16 in total and can be set up to use both water temp and water flow as well as normal analog and digital sencors. Also the controller works independed of the softwear so its safer as the PC going to be left with heavy work loads.

Currently Matrix Orbital displays are not compatible with the JaLCD software.

However, it looks I found a link for displaying some text from the controller for lcdc at http://forums.lcdc.cc/index.php?showtopic=3097 , so you will be able to use the lcdc software with the display for the fan controller.
