If i have the unmodified floppy connector plugged in, how many amps can i control through the high-power GPOs?
As in, can i run a 2.49 amp, 12 volt fan off one of the headers, in either PWM or on/off? or both? (that's a 30 watt fan!)
or better yet, can i run two or even three of these off the display?
thanks,
Dan

Hi Daneel,
Thank you for posting at the forums.
We rate each header for safe operation at 12V and 1amp. Please do not use any device rated any higher on each header, so you do not risk any damage to your device or the display.
If you have anymore questions or concerns, please feel free to post.
Best Regards,

I don't suppose that you could pass this onto whoever designs the hardware:
can they possibly increase the amount of current able to flow through the headers in a future revision? fans and devices are starting to want to draw more than an amp, so it's only practical..
cheers Tom, shame about the 1 amp limit, but oh well..
