How do i go about hooking it up? I already have the molex power cable hooked up and i have all my fans hooked up to the MX4. Won't i need a molex to 3 pin adapter?
All i want to do is turn it on and off from the MX4.
How do i hook up a CCFL to my MX4?
Hi David,
All you need to do is plug the CCFL into the high power GPO, and it should work. Make sure you have the right pins connected. The pinout is shown below.
RPM sensing +12/5V Gnd.
You won't connect anything to the RPM sensing since there isn't anything spinning, so there is no RPMs that need to be sensed. It would help to have a 3 pin connector similar to your fan connector used for the CCFL. You will then just set it like you would set your fans on and off.
Best Regards,

Yellow wire on the 4-pin Molex, 12v I believe? Am thinking about same project, running my CCFL's from the Display, and have ordered some adapter cables to attempt. Did you have to make any changes to the MX4 to get the fans working?David9799 wrote:I got the CCFL now. Can i just get power to the inverter from the MX4?
I don't know how though it gets power with a molex connector.
Thanks for the help.

No the fans where easy i had trouble with the keys untill i used HOT.
On my CCFL the wires coming from the molex aren't color coded so the 2 wires look the same. I thought about just cutting the molex off then solder a 3 pin on to it but so i can hook it up to the MX4...but i don't know what wires do what, i don't want to fry something!
