VFD Drop-in remplacement

Post by SilmarilS »

Hi!

I just ordered a VFD2041-V to replace my LCD2041-WB-V in my computer.
I want to know if I can just plug the new one and don't worry.
For the color filter that you can add, can I use some colored plastic sheets?

Hi,

Since you ordered the -V version, it will be fine to plug the new unit inplace of the old one. They both use the modified 12V floppy power cable.

Using the color plastic sheet won't work because the light will not be polarized so the colour of the display will not change. You must use a filter instead because they are polarized.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

:D
