GLK12232-25-SM HELP

Hi

I am having trouble trying to get my display to work, after reading on this forum I decided to try the MO LCD tester but this pops up when trying to connect to the lcd

Selected LCD Type 0x24 doesn't match the LCD connecting to of type 0xEE. Would you like to switch the LCD connecting to? [yes][no][cancel]

If I press yes it comes up with display type not found.
If I press no and continue I can turn the backlight off/on and change the contrast but no text will show and graphics come up as random pixels.

Any clues as to whats wrong? does it matter how long the cable is that connects to the display?

If you were able to turn the backlight and off and on, you cable is fine. Can you check if your contrast is high enough and make sure you have a font loaded. Also try testing the flow control too.
