On the LK204-25-PC there is 26 pin for the GPOs but only pin 1 to 16 are the 12 V GPO. what can we do with the 10 other pins ???
What is an inductive load???
Am I obliged to "clamp" (i don't know what it mean) each GPO to switch fans, neon light, ...?

thanks for your help.

If your load is inductive (like a fan, relay, or solenoid) you want to use a diode reverse biased to 'clamp' the output. It flattens the peak of a the transient voltage that can occur when an inductive load is switched on. It protects the rest of your circuits from being damaged by the transient.

Have a look at this app note for a nice explanation: http://www.littelfuse.com/PDFs/Resources/Diodes.pdf
