I was unable to upload my new avatar from my machine and from an external URL. I was only able to link to an external URL. How can we troubleshoot this problem?

There's a 6K limit for avatar uploads other then that I have no problems with it, are you getting a specific error ?

My file appeared to be 45K, sorry I overlooked the 6K limit, but there was no message at all, the screen just comes back. I wonder why your restrictions are so tough?

Mostly to keep the forum from becomming a seizure inducing blinking chistmas tree and keep the pages loading at a reasonable speed.
