Auto-Fan Control Support?

Post by LaRock »

I'm looking at buying one of the Matrix Orbital products and have a question about Fan Control Support. It sounds like, based off different reviews and posts, that Fan Control is manual. My question is can the Matrix Orbital be programmed to automatically adjust the speed of the fans if a component gets above/below a certain temperature ?

Thanks in advance in your time.

Hi LaRock,

Thanks for posting at the lcd forums.

The display can be easily programmed to automatically adjust to different fan speeds for different temperatures. LCDC has included different events for those situations.

eg) temperature is greater than 30 degrees, fan speed = 100%

If you have anymore questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

Best Regards,

:D

Can you use the Graphical displays to also do everything the MX Series can do?

Thanks for your quick response of my previous question/

LaRock,

Unfortunately, our graphics display currently don't have the same functionality for GPOs as the MX series displays. They don't have the capability of controlling fans or sensing temperatures by a dallas one wire probe. However, I will discuss these ideas with engineering for future possibilities.

If you have anymore questions or concerns, feel free to post them.

Best Regards,
