Rumors about mx2 booting

Post by mobuismodule »

I hear that if a fan is connected to the fan controller on the mx2 series during booting, it won't spin until windows has started. I also hear that there is an easy way to fix this. Could someone fill me in on how to fix this? I was going to buy one to monitor my CPU fan and temperature.

The fan is connected to the controller on the MX2 series. The fan will turn on once the computer turns on because you are applying power via the unmodified floppy power connector from the power supply to power up the GPO. The default setting for the high power GPO is on 100%, so when you apply power to the device, the fan will be spinning, which is when you turn on your computer, not when windows starts.

Best Regards,

:D
