LCDProc

Post by zorrua »

Hello, I have a GLK19264-7T-1U-USB device and I want to get it working with LCDproc in Linux PC.

Is it possible? How could I show some info there?

Thanks

Hi Zorrua,

The GLK19264-7T-1U-USB can work with Linux. If you haven't installed the drivers for the display you will need to.

Here is a link for an application note for using our displays with Linux:
http://www.matrixorbital.ca/appnotes/Li ... 0Linux.pdf

The App Note gives some detail into having the display recognized in Linux and instructions to install the drivers.

If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to ask.
Thank you

Thanks Tino!

I create the “hello world” application and it works, that great.

I want to use it with LCDproc to show some hardware info of my Linux server.

I didn't find any example how to do it with this device, could you help with this?

Thanks and best regards.

Hey Zorrua,

Unfortunately we do not have an example with LCDproc.

LCDproc does have a User Guide on their website here:
http://lcdproc.org/hardware.php3

User Guide:
http://lcdproc.sourceforge.net/docs/cur ... #glk-howto

Hope that helps,

Hey Zorrua,

If you upload a image that you would like to be in the start up upload it with the ID of '0'.
This will overwrite the image that is there now.

If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to ask.

Hi,

Depending on the PCB revision you have the you can find the manual of your display here:
PCB Rev 2.0
http://www.matrixorbital.ca/manuals/GLK ... 2.0%29.pdf

or

PCB Rev 1.0 to 1.1
http://www.matrixorbital.ca/manuals/GLK ... -7T-1U.pdf

You can find the "Upload a Bitmap File" command in the manual. Also the protocol used to upload an image.

When I say the "ID" this is the Reference ID number that is given to the image when uploading the image. The details to uploading a image can be find in the manual.

Thank you
