GLK240128-25 corrupted

Post by gstlachi »

Hi,

The lcd is having a strange behaviour. It does not responding correctly to the MOGD# 1.1.5 application:

- When i try to send text or draw a graphic the displays show weird things, although, the MOGD# detects the display correctly. Mostly, every changes puts the lcd in high contrast
- I try to update the firmware v8.3 to v8.4, all the steps are well until an error appears = Error detecting bootloader.

I hope you can help me...

Thanks....
Regards.

Hello,

Thank you for posting on the forum.

I wonder, since the firmware upgrade did not complete (bootloader error), the display should remain at v8.3.
Can you please confirm this for me? Cycle the power on the unit and do an Auto Detect in mogd# please.

Once we are at a known state, we can hopefully figure out why commands do weird things, and why contrast becomes dark.

Raquel thanks for attend,

Yes, It detects correctly the lcd. The following data appears:

Speed : 19200
Display Type: GLK240128-25
Pcb Revision: 1.x

Yet, it has the same behaviour.

The revision printed in the lcd is R4.0. I guess the firmware still remains v8.3

Thanks again...

Hi,

Thank you for posting on the forum.

Can you tell me what commands you are sending to display to draw the graphics and send the text?
Once we know the commands we can further troubleshoot and diagnose the issue.

Thank you,
Martino

Hi,

When you first power up the display is the contrast high? or is it at the default?

Also is it possible that you use a different computer?

Thank you,
Martino
