My Matrix Orbital display went dim?

Post by David97 »

I have the LK204-24-usb MX4 rev 1.0 and the other day it just went dim. You can still see the text if you look at it in a angle but it still looks dim. If you look at it stright you can hardly see any text.

In LCDC if i try to adjust the contrast or backlight intesity it does nothing.
Any ideas on what could be wrong? It is alomost 2 years old now i think but i can see the lights still work.

I just noticed that is i set the contrast and backlight intesity both to 100% i can see the text on the screen. If i use the recommended setting i can't see the text.

David,

Thank you for posting on the forum.

The display is old, since it's a version 1.0, so it will be out of warrantly. However, if you email me at support@matrixorbital.ca, I will give you a couple options on this issue.

Best Regards,

I have a similar problem with my LK202-24-USB. Same PCB revision, 1.0.

It's pretty much like David97's except the characters are all various symbols and solid blocks. Bummer.
