Can't get fans to come on and off with LCDC?

Post by David9799 »

I'm trying to set up my fans to incress and decress speed by pushing a buttion on my keyboard in config/test i have it set to manuel set in screen builder start stop setting 100. In screen bulider - events i have fan on event sys-->on keypad press and i'm using Q then in action i have Gpo-->advanced-->Incress pwrn Gpo 1 and 10 for the rating incress. For fan off i have all the same settings excecpt for action Gpo-->advanced-->Decrease Pwr using kepad W

What am i doing wrong? I can't turn the fans off.

I noticed in events some of the things that are in there like to open IE use keypad U that don't work? :-?

Manual Start/Stop setting should be approximitly 50 (some fans need the power to start spinning). Then you can increase by percentage up to 100 and then decrease.
Standard in LCDC F2 will perform an email check and show the number of mails in your account(s).

I'm not sure what you mean? All i want to do is use 2 keys on my keyboard to incress and decress fan speeds. Can you not use a keyboard for anything in the events to work? I don't have a keypad.

Thanks

When opening the virtual display you can configure ABCDE to give functions
like A=P (in my case an MX2) and it will perform an email check.
Also try the plugin HOT (hotkeys to make keyboard shortcuts).
Personally I never tried this.
I don't know which screen you use but I suggest to make B=K(up) and
C=L(down). Disable in Events keypad up/down as they are standard to
in/decrease volumes. Regards, Jan

Glad to see it worked out for you! There are numerous variations to fit your
personal needs. I learned from this also and linked the hotkeys to a screen showing both % and rpm. One fan needs two additionel events for the up and down saying: ->Disp go to Selected Screen. Create a screen that visualise the results like the one to be found in the Screengallery.
