Read Version Number command 254 54 should only reply with 1 byte. I am not sure how you got 2.12.28.1.
By any chance you have tried saving backlight, contrast settings?

We have recently released an update for the firmware on the GTT's.
I am not sure though if it does have the changes for the label speed, but please give it a try.

Hi Paul,

If you are using mogd#, go to Upload to device and chose Upload (Xmodem). Uploading via Xmodem is faster than the (regular) Upload. Xmodem upload takes about a 1.5 minutes.
