Re: Display Artifcats
Hi Haz, You can create a script that will pre-load the font prior to drawing data on the screen. On the right hand side of the Designer, under the Events tab, you'll be able to add a Pre-Load action. You can add a Pre-Load script that will load your Mustang font before anything is drawn on screen. P...

Re: Display Artifcats
Hi Haz, The white boxes that are appearing on your unlock screen are due to extra "Null" characters being sent to the display. Do these extra boxes appear immediately on the screen, or do they appear once you enter an unlock code? Your issue with dynamic labels may be due to font uploading...

Re: Toggles
Hi Soinclined,
In order for the GTT to report region "up" events, you will have to change the Touch reporting using command 11.4
If you change the GTT's touch reporting to mode 7, the GTT will report both "up" and "down" events.
Cheers,
Daniel

Re: Protocol Manual Clarification...
Hi Soinclined, To clarify, the values given on page 2 of the manual are raw decimal byte values. If you take a look at an ASCII table, you will see that the decimal byte values provided in the manual, 72, 101, 108, 108, and 111 correspond to the ASCII letters 'H', 'e', 'l', 'l', and 'o' respectively...

Re: N00b Question...
Hi Soinclined, Welcome to the forums! I'm glad you are enjoying your new GTT. The blank box artifacts that you are seeing on your screen are usually due to null values being sent to the display. In the past, some customers have added additional null terminators in their code when it was not necessar...

Re: Microcontrollers Driver board/module configuration issues - help needed
Hi Andy, This forum is generally used to discuss Matrix Orbital Products, as well as provide support to those who are having troubles interfacing with their displays. That said, perhaps another member of the forum can point you in the right direction regarding your driver board configuration. It may...

Hi Andy,
Welcome to the forums!
I see that you are having issues configuring your motor/solenoid driver board. Are you looking to control the Driver Board using one of our Displays?
Cheers,
Daniel

EVE2 Module: JPEG Viewer Example
In this application, we’ve showcased one of the many ways to upload a photo onto the EVE2 Module by developing a photo viewer application. A set of buttons allow users to cycle through the images being uploaded on the display. The code is a modified version of FTDI’s Sample Application that they pro...

EVE2 Module: Drawing with Primitives Example
With the release of the new EVE2 TFT series, I have developed a few application notes which are aimed to assist those beginning their own EVE2 TFT development. These appnotes should provide users with the insight they need to communicate with their EVE2 modules, and take advantage of all the feature...

Re: GTT70A Power
Hi Haz,
I see. In order to supply power from the I2C header, you will need to populate the D3 pad with a BAT720 Schottky diode. You can find one of these diodes here.
Cheers,
Daniel Divino

Re: GTT70A Power
Hi Haz, Since D3 is not populated, you will not be able to apply any power to the display through the I2C header. The I2C header is populated on many of our GTT's allowing for I2C communication but depending on the display, D3 may not be, preventing power through I2C. I am confirming with the PCB de...

Re: GTT70A Power
Hi Haz,
Power through I2C should work out of the box. No changes to the board are necessary for the unit to be powered via I2C.
If you have a multimeter on hand, you can check for a voltage at pin 3 of D3; You should see 5V.
Cheers,
Daniel Divino

Re: GTT70A Power
Hi Haz, It is interesting to hear that you are unable to power up your GTT through the I2C header. How much current is your power supply providing to the display? The GTT70A uses a substantial amount of current in comparison to the smaller GTT displays that we offer. This is why we suggest that powe...
