I thought about this a while back and here is what I found. Velleman (I got a catalog from a local electronics store but they have a web site at velleman.be) has a kit K6711 that is described as a 15 channel IR receiver. Here is a quote from the catalog: 15 open collector outputs: 50v / 100mA LED in...

There is this magic stuff called 'liquid mask'. It paints on and dries, and you can cut it with a razor knive to clean up the edges. Then it peels off. It works on lexan and other plastics. It might be a little hard to find, however. I've got some because I paint remote control truck and car bodies ...

Well, the digital baybus software doesn't work at the same time as LCDC but LCDC can pretty much do everything the baybus software does. I've got LCDC set up to turn on/off fans at temps reported by motherboard monitor. I'm working on a circuit that will take the output from two gpo's and send eithe...

Can a GPO be used to control a servo? This link shows how a servo is controlled. http://www.epanorama.net/documents/motor/rcservos.html It says that 1.5ms pulses set the servo to one end, and 2.0ms pulses set it to the other. Can a the GPO's be told to turn on/off that quickly/precisely to control t...

Okay, to try to answer your question... The GPO's on your display will not supply enough power for a cold cathode light kit. You'd have to use a relay or circuit to get them 12v. The GPO's are simple. They are 'on' or 'off'... when on, they supply power (or technically, they switch to ground). When ...
