Yeah!...Hard work in theses screens...I try to cramp everything into each screens...I also done a couple of screens for my mp3 controller in a 40x2...

That's right.... my cable is about 3/16" in diameter and with a very good Shielding... a GND wire + a Foil Shield So no problemo here... And even when I pass an audio cable alongside the data cable, no corruption is heard on the audio... My first external mod is not using the shield in the cabl...

The power needed by these LCD is far below anything that can be harmfull for PC power supplies.....

In the 100mA or 0.1A on 12V is very low,,,,
Just connect it to your 200w PSU and don't worry about it!!

Hi ! I have a LK402-12 and was wondering...about the backlit time-out feature, I have set it to 1 min in LCDC... but it doesn't turn off.. Does it use screen activity to check if the module is used like in a PC...or just the keypad presses....? If it use screen activity then it will not work in my c...

Now I see but I'm not very good at SMD soldering... ...
I will check for the required pot and if the job can be done for cheap...

I have to use 2 project box because of the lenght of the module....
I will try to find a better box...
I can searsh mp3 files directly from my Hdd...

I just build an external module with near 100ft +-5ft of good shielded cable
and at 19200bps there are no problem even with screen refresh of 25fps in LCDC...no artifact..

So for the ones who might wonder what is the maximum cable lenght then there is the answer.....

Can you post me a detail picture of the 2x10ohm...
My LCD is already mounted in a difficult place and want to see
if it is not to hard to do the mod....


Edit: as you post said, the resistor is on the lcd PCB, is it right?
