Hi

I guess you were talking about screwing/unscrewing the D-sub connector, sorry but you can't do that.

What I can suggest though is use small pieces of wire to bridge the gaps. Wire wrap wires work good for these kinds of reconnection of broken traces on the PCB.

Leave the 2 jumpers in the middle. Set LCDC to 19200 baud.

Yes, you can solder/wick them off, those are components, just solder blobs.

I was told there is more to this, Tom will be posting the details and a picture of what your board should look like to completely put it in RS232.

Hi

Your board is set at TTL levels. The first picture in your last post where it says 'it may be impossible to read in the pic but it says:
SIPEX
SP232AEN
0243 '
have two pads jumpered/soldered. You need to take those solder jumps off.

Hi

The problem really sounds like wrong baud rate.

Is it possible for you to post a picture of your LK204-25? I want to see what settings you have on the module.

Hi poprhetor,

When you have decided with the switch you want to use, then we can get to work. The switches you've indicated look feasible.

I will try my best to help, and hopefully I can.

Hi Mensch, You can use uProject to send the commands I listed earlier. You can get uProject here . In the Uploader tab, on the left panel side, open Other and drag Raw Data to the right side. It'll open up a window, click on Add Command Byte, this will add /254/ on the Raw data command line. On Add ...

Hi poprhetor,

Thank you for posting on the forum.

Unfortunately, I am not sure what application Tim will be using his rotary encoder. But if you decide on using any interface to your MX422, I will be happy to help you with questions you might come up with.

Best Regards,

Hi David, Unfortunately, I can not find a firmware revision of 3.2, could you possibly mean 2.2? If you do have firware version 2.2, medium numbers should work. Have you tried the commands I suggested? If there is a need to upgrade your units, it will need to be sent back here. The work around to th...

Hello Edward, Thank you for posting on the forum. Can you please tell me the PCB rev and the firmware version of your MX211. I am afraid that maybe it is a bit old and that we have not yet implemented medium numbers (2 row height) on it.. Large numbers are only implemented in displays with 4 or more...
