I'm sure it's not 100.000% sure, but I have every confidence in a flat blade screwdriver, a small hammer and a sharp rap (a short sharp shock, if you will) If I have to choose 2 things it is: 1 - the REAL ambient temperature (at the air intake). 2 - The total system "load" (ie: temperature...

Both a little tough. For the graphics card (assuming you mean the VPU), I recommend crazy gluing it to the BACK of the board directly behind the VPU. For the processor, well this is philosophy. You could NEVER read the temperature of the CPU fast enough to do anything about it in a catastrophic situ...

It totally depends on what you want to probe and where :o

In my computer system, I have them crazy glued to various locations on the flat sides of the probes.

Not in any direct way, no. You can repeatedly send the same character to the same location from two different fonts (one normal and one inverted) to cause it to "blink". You could also send a space character alternating with your character (using a non-proportional font would be easiest). ...

Steve, I am going to offer to recreate this font for you since I happen to have a little time here while I get up to speed on some other things. I have discovered that we have a "dump file system to disk" program. If you can send me the output from that program, I believe that I can recrea...

Manual override

For the time being, let us assume that this is a communication problem, but please check the power supply voltage with a multimeter and ensure that the power is stable at 5 volts +- 0.2V. If you are unsure of the power supply, you should look at it with a scope. Start by getting the module unto a kn...

No, it is not, however its position should always be predictable and under your control. It can also, of course, be set to where you think it SHOULD be if you are of the mind to do so.

From your photo, it doesn't look very inviting to that solution. I've done it, but pins sticking up from the board held in place by nothing but solder - especially in twos - is a little ugly... I believe that some of our other boards have a slightly better layout for that. You could, I suppose, run ...

Generally, programming languages are never capable of input or output. When you use the "print" function, you are doing just that - using a function. The language itself really knows nothing about "printing". QBASIC (whatever that is - seriously) probably comes installed with the...

I think the most sensible thing I can say about this is "Its a pain in the butt". I have in the past soldered straight jumper block posts on boards for this purpose. I have not needed it in some time, but I heard a rumor that at the very least, the size of the solder jumpers and the spacin...

No, it is not the "clean" font since "clean" is only 7 or 8 pixels tall and 5 wide... but then again... maybe it could be described as 6x9 if you added the gaps?

And "clean" is on the www.matrixorbital.ca site

I looked around here and I don't have a font like that either. I am currently checking on the possibility of getting it out of the unit. Which firmware revision is it? You should be able to use this software to find out if you don't already know. http://www.matrixorbital.ca/software/software_alpha/u...

I'm going to start real slow and take it bit by bit because I am a little rusty. First, the unit was made by a robotic machine and those pads are given a little dab of solder paste. It is very improbable (I want to say impossible) that it is "used". I don't know the details of the board ri...

Please (and sorry if this sounds absurd) have a look in the box it came in again and see if you might have missed the CD on the bottom of the box - perhaps under a piece of paper. If it, is in fact, missing, we can fix that and email you what you need to get going. Sorry about not responding yesterd...

Peer 2 Peer is not manslaughter

http://www.p2punite.net/img/fightback_banner.gif http://www.p2punite.net/ Recently in the USA, laws were passed to make sentencing for using P2P equivalent to manslaughter. Thats right, now you have a choice. If you were going to go to jail for 3 years anyway, you can either download some songs or ...
