...but how did you come to 35? From LibDriverCoreClient, the DCCSession.Device.ContrastSteps property reports an int of 35. The LCD Defaults Configuration Utility just has a slider, but doesn't report actual value. Backlight steps are reported as 255, as they should be, so I trusted this value. I c...

Correction needed on the GX page
On your web site, you list the GX typhoon as having "255 levels of software controlled contrast" on this page: http://www.matrixorbital.com/gx.php. I assume you meant levels of backlight control instead, since there are only 35 steps of contrast.

Thanks, James. May be some simple boolean for this that can be toggled by the LCD Defaults configuration utility would be worthwhile? I'd hate to see us get locked out of a feature we currently have (even though it's more like a bug/oversight). Of course the best implementation for users would be ac...

2. I haven't tried it yet, and this is more of a question for Ray: when I change the backlight through the DriverCore, then end the session and connection and shut down my PC, will the unit retain its backlight value until I change it again? I was able to answer my own question while testing it. Th...

Awesome. I think I'll leave mine on then, with some sort of bitmap that mentions the PC's security system is active. ;) The PC will be at my workplace, so I do have to use locking screws and lock it down to the wall for peace of mind. We have many interns in and out of my area when I'm not around. S...

I am nearing the end of my mod that includes the GX, and I have it connected to an internal USB header. Therefore I will be unable to power off the unit when my PC will shut down (I've seen it remain powered while testing). It's not a huge problem, and it actually adds for some interesting options i...
