Hi,

With your existing code, can you please try to change the defined i2C_address from 0x28 to 0x50?

Just give it a quick try.

Thanks,

I clipped this from Wikipedia: A null modem cable is an RS-232 serial cable where the transmit and receive lines are crosslinked. In many situations a straight through serial cable is used, together with a null modem adapter. The adapter contains the necessary crosslinks between the signals. So, to ...

Hi, Thank you for posting on the forum. Read Customer Data command is 254 / 53. Immediately after receiving this command, the display should start transmitting 16 bytes. If these 16 byte - customer data are not set, they will read as 0xFF's. Have you successfully read from the display at all? You ca...

Hi, Would I be able to connect the power through the 4 pin headers Yes, this is how you power the display. Please see page 6 of the manual regarding the 4 pin connector (marked #5). And for serial transfers, I'm not using the 4 pin header but using the RS232 port on the back of the LCD to a serial p...

Hi, The display speed is default at 19200, I see that you have your code set at 9600. As for the 4 pin connector: Vcc - connect this to 5V RX - connect this to the TX of the ATmega128 via a RS232 transceiver TX - connect this to the RX of the ATmega128 via a RS232 transceiver Gnd - connect this to G...

Hi, Sorry about the documentation, I confirmed that it is incorrect. There should be no need for the first confirmation byte (the one before the font width is sent by the host); as laid out in the table on page 44 of the manual . I have told the technical writer and he said he will look into this ma...

There is a sample code in the ATmega128 on page 178. Try if that will make it better. I see that it needs to check UDRE bit in UCSRA register before writing to the UDR.

Glad to hear that you have figured out what was wrong.
We will take a look at the manual and make sure that it describes the character table more clearly.

Hi Ted, Thank you for posting on the forum. Hopefully there is not really a need for you to upload the font files during run time. If you have your defined fonts, you can upload them using mogd# . If you DO need to have your fonts uploaded during run time, first we need to make sure that the font fi...

Hello, Thank you for posting on the forum. I tried searching the forum for some coding samples for the ATmega128, but could not find any, but found this one . What I suggest that you try first is to get your serial port working. Test it using a terminal emulator on a PC, eg Hyperterminal and see if ...

Hi, Mogd# was recommended for you to try to evaluate the display, and see if you can detect it. It is used only for display evaluation and testing. Try detecting the display one more time and note of the comport that the display is found in. You should still be able to use LCDC for the things you wa...

Hi, Thank you for posting on the forum. Try the following out: 1. Install manual override on the display. Please see Section 2.5 of the manual . Cycle the power and leave this jump on. See if this fixes the problem. 2. Try swapping the RX and TX lines. I hope these help. Let me know how it turns out.

Hi, Thank you for posting on the forum. If you please try and get the drivers again, as we have updated them last February. Also, instead of LCDC, I wonder if you please give modg# a try. There is Auto Detect in mogd# that should detect the GLK19264-7T-1U as a valid module. Let me know how it turns ...

Hi Jacqmaster, It sounds like somehow the EEPROM in your display module has been corrupt. By default, the keys should be transmitting those that are depicted in the tables on page 40 of the manual . By using Assign Keypad Code command (254 / 213) you should be able to assign any values that you want...
