Re: LK204-7T-1U USB VID and PID values

Hi,

An FTDI utility called FT_Prog may be used to program the VID and PID.
I will get you the profile once I have it tested here.
The LK204-7T-1U-USB should have VID and PID values of 1B3D and 012C as you mentioned.

Sorry for the confusion.

Re: LK204-7T-1U HW Flow control

Hello, Thank you for posting on the forum. The problem as you described does sound like a buffer overflow issue. Unfortunately, the LK204-7T-1U / -USB modules do not offer hardware nor software flow control features. I apologize for the mention of 'pins five and six..' on the manual, as this does no...

Re: GLK240128-25 corrupted

Hello, Thank you for posting on the forum. I wonder, since the firmware upgrade did not complete (bootloader error), the display should remain at v8.3. Can you please confirm this for me? Cycle the power on the unit and do an Auto Detect in mogd# please. Once we are at a known state, we can hopefull...

Re: Rev 1.5 LCD2041 Baud Rate Issue

Hello Richard, Thank you for posting on the forum. I am sorry to hear about your display mishap :( The code defaults to using 1200 baud when it reads the port and does not quite make out the input levels. If the pins used for baud selection got affected by the accident, it will then get stuck at thi...

Re: Typhoon IR Receiver

Hi Etharr,

Thank you for posting on the forum.
Yes, the IR Receiver of the GX Typhoon is MCE RC6 compatible, works with XBOX 360 Univeral Remote and visible to Windows system but only a receiver (does not transmit).
I hope this helps.

Re: LK204-25 REV1.23 with Arduino

Thank you for posting on the forum.

Getting two black lines (rows 1 and 3 especially) from the LCD display may indicate a damaged display.
If you were to power the display on its own, ie pin 1 and 4 of the power connector only to +5V and GND respectively, do you still see the lines?

Re: LCD0821 Gibberiish

Hi,

The LCD0821s with sn# 09M05-0218 and 09M05-0282 have the same firmware version, v6.0.
If you please send the command 254 / 54, the displays should report back 0x60.

Are you seeing different behaviour between the two? Can you please give more details of what is happening?

Re: RS232 Driven True vs Driven Inverted

Hi Don,

Thank you for posting on the forum.

Unfortunately no, there is no way to communicate with the display using inverted serial data.
It is a neat feature found on some micro controllers that offer enhanced USART, but unfortunately the LCD2041 does not have this capability.

Best Regards,

Re: LK162-12-WB prints gibberish/adds characters

Hi Jim,

Thank you for posting on the forum.

The Technical Manual Rev 4.0 linked in Digikey mentions 80 as slave address. This means 80 decimal, ie 0x50 (not 0x80).
As we are already in contact via our ticket system, I will reply to your enquiries there.

Thank you and Best Regards,
Raquel Malinis

Hello, Thank you for posting on the forum. First off, please be reminded that soldering on your module voids your warranty. If you want to have 6 single color LEDs instead of the bi color LEDs, you can do so, as you said. The replacement LEDs should be: Vf = 1.8V to 2.2V with If = 20mA (max). There ...

Good to hear you got it sorted out.

The jumpers are so we can configure the 4 pin power/data connector (and the DB9 connector) to go to the RS232 IC. With the LK162-12 we offer 232, TTL and I2C protocols.

Hi Randy, Thank you for posting on the forum. It sounds like your LK162-12's baud rate was inadvertently changed. You will need to jump the manual override to get it back to 19200. And you are right, the only way to get it back is to re-configure it. Try sending the command 254 / 57 / 51 see page 16...

Hi Luc,

Thank you for posting on the forum.

Indeed, create text window command with index so as to be able to create and specify different text windows and write on them. We will definitely consider this in the future.

Thank you.

Hello Ashok,

Unfortunately, what you described can not be done right now; but we'll keep that in mind for future.

Thanks,
