Calculating Line Length

I need to calculate the length of a line I am about to send to the display. This is easy with the mono fonts, but how do I do this with the Variable Width fonts? I find that when I go to display a line, either it is too short or too long for the field. How do I get access to the width of each Charac...

Hack a Macintosh iBook into a Custom Car MP3 Player

Thought you might like to see a MO LCD used for a project other than PC Case Mods. I am hacking my MO display into my car and it is turning out really well. Easy to do too. Check out the Picts and Description at http://www.wildrice.com/BlueCabbie/ I really like the bigger graphical display. Looks gr...

I was looking around for some info on this topic and I ran across this site . Would the circuit for "Up Down detection circuit" work to output the rotation of the encoder into something the keypad input would see as a "button press" Cool info. Think I will give it a try. But you...

Re: GLK24064-25-VPT-E What is the Max keypress rate?

Using a GLK24064-25-VPT-E . Is the keypad debounced? If so, what is the bounce delay? check out the GLK24062-25 manual for debounce settings. The default is 8. (I can't tell you in ms because I'm having net problems) RTFM! :) Sorry. I must have missed that. 52ms is the default. I will have to play ...

RKJXT1E12001

Got the devices. Have not hooked them up, but the RKJXT1E12001 looks really, really cool. It is tiny. It could hide behind a quarter. It is a joystick with switched in eight directions, plus a pushbutton, plus a rotation encoder. It may require some electronics to hook it up, but it will be well wor...
