contrast worked a treat..

How do you fiddle with the contrast? I was just looking for the MO powerup message and even that didn't appear...

I'm not sure what has gone on here but perhaps you have seen this before... Something funny is going on, I went off for 2 weeks and the computer was off and the MO was working fine. Just realised that they aren't in pairs... they are just paired up for your program... trying to mod mr haz' proggy now for 8 gpos.

I seem to remember that GPO 1 is the bottom pair of pins... please remind me which one the ground and which one the +ve is? Ta... Also if the pins are aligned thus (for example) GPO3 Grnd GPO3 Grnd GPO2 Grnd GPO2 Grnd GPO1 Grnd GPO1 Grnd is there any difference between the top GPO1 and the bottom GP...

What I would do, being a complete novice is 1) unplug all serial connections and turn on your pc with the MO plugged in.... if you don't get the backlight and the bootscreen.... OHDEAR! 2) if that works try booting up with the serial connector on if you have no programs running any LCD software then...

cool... really appreciate it... you should put a link on there saying that this DOES NOT come with a serial cable and you need to buy one...
