Hiya All, I am currently building a library to control all the MO displays that are currently available. I am writing it in Delphi, and will compile it as both a DLL (Windoze) and a SO (Linux). Both these libraries should be ready in around 2 weeks. What I am looking for is someone that could perhap...

I assume you are refering to gels when you say filter, The problem is getting an orange color from a green/yellow LED backlight. Also as this would be my first LCD project, I didn't really want to go modifying the LCD in any shape or form unless I have to.

Thanks for the idea though.

Hiya All, After spending numerous hours browsing the Serial LCD's offered by MO, I have discovered that there doesn't appear to be any that match the LCD's in my 86 Ford Fairmont. Are there any plans to do a 40x2 character display with orange text/black (dark blue) backgroud? I am interested in this...

Hey, I've just had a brain wave, get Matrix-Orbital to employ me as the web adminstrator and I'll make this thing fly quicker than it ever has....(Yes this would mean a box rebuild) and make it easier to update other web pages as well.

hehehehehehehe

Your GUI, no prob's use XWindows, you can even make it look like Win95/NT if you want.

As far as command line stuff is concerned, you probably wouldn't even need it as everything (with only a few exceptions, of which you would probably never need.) can be done from the gui.

You're running a Micro$oft product. That explains the slowness of these boards.

A little suggestion, change the web server (if possible) to Linux and apache. this will 1. speed up your page request times, and secondly decrease the ease to which some one could break into the server.

Cheers

Aniso, you are correct in what you say, however the point I was trying to put forward is that there is a difference between sending 0xFE 'X', and sending 0x32 0x35 0x34 'X'. the difference being that 4 characters/bytes have been sent to the display as apposed the 2 characters/bytes that the display ...
