Hi

Just got round to testing an LK204-25 with hyper terminal.

When I connect from HT any text already on the display dims into illegibility. I can type text and it gets to the dipslay. But it's only readable when I disconnect??

Any thoughts on why?

I've checked the voltage and it's steady at 5 ...

yes modg. did that then used mogd to do the test.
to me it sounds like you've confused the on board memory by running at a lower baud than the unit was set to.

Yep! Backlight on/off, contrast etc work fine.

Text display mostly works. However pressing the 'send text button' repeatedly very quickly can miss some characters occaisonally.

Also tends to split text between the 3rd and 4th lines when using LCDC (tweaked to do 17x4 as I cant download a font ...

I've tried font uploading numerous time (10+) fails every time. Never contacts the module.

I guess it expects some response back or something. I've found that I cant get any data from the module to the PC (keypresses etc). The codes get sent, but the PC simply ignores them.

After finding the vk204-25 I got didn't work I now find that the graphic display I've got doesn't either :-(

Backlight turns on/off etc can send text. No problems there.

LCDC test mode show nothing when I short the middle pns of the keypad connector, neither does the MO Alpha demo proggy. Something is sent though as I can sometimes catch it on the scope.

Don't think the cable is wired wrongly as pins 2 and 3 are connected 2-2 and 3-3 and I can control the display ...

Hi Just got a couple of LCD's :-)

The vk204-25 works fine for displaying anything LCDC or your test program puts out.

Problem is I can't get GPO 5 to work (the others are ok) and pressing keys on the keypad (diy) don't get sent correctly.

They do get sent according to my oscilloscope, but the PC ...
