TheCheeseMan: Thanks! That is a swell tutorial and I'll do some pin shorts to analyze the nature of what is going on. CyPher: I'll watch for your article. Unfortunately, I am flying to the North Slope of Alaska today and will not return home until next Monday evening. I'll mess with it then....

I've been happily running my new BLK202A for a little over a week, and I finally decided to mess with the keypad. Unfortunately, only one keypress is working... the right arrow or "E" key. That key always works flawlessly. I several software tests to determine that it is definately a keypa...

I must say that in the bits of time I have had to look into all of this, that it is LCDC that makes my display valuable. I was able to be up and running very quickly with many, many nice features. Thanks Mat-d-rat -- you're a pro! And thanks to all of the others who have participated to share their ...

Ikonis--

Thanks, I've been looking at the info, such as it is. I've never taken an interest in Delphi before. It seems to be familiar territory... along the lines of pascal, C, Modula, and Java.

Mat-d-rat: I have spent thousands of hours professionally and as an enthusiast in software development, but I have not done anything at all since about mid-1999. Most of my work was either wierd, or long ago. Accordingly, I am able to work with 8080 and 6502 assembler, Pascal, Modula 2, C (but not a...

The Gaming Center/Internet Cafe type world has a couple of software companies who specialize in support apps. That environment is ripe for adding a digital readout to each computer that displays current user, time remaining, gaming stats, time in use, etc. I wonder if any of the hardware or software...

Matt-

In your copious spare time, try to think about bulk licensing on your soon-to-be-released commercial version of LCDC. By "Bulk", I am only thinking of 10 at a time.

Mat-d-Rat- I was getting an "Unable to Change Key" pop-up, but it seemed to be because I was logged in on a username that lacked administrator permissions -- so that was easy to solve. I now am wanting to have LCDC auto-start, perhaps stealthily, with a standard config for all user...

I just installed my new LK-202-25 and have been having a blast making a bunch of custom displays with LCDC. Unfortunately, I do not know how to make LCDC program the LCD automatically when it is first loaded after a computer reboot. It puts itself in the system tray, but it does not seem to write an...

Thanks CheeseMan! I will certainly experiment with the graphic display after I get my feet wet on the standard alpha-numeric. Your answer was exactly the kind of push I needed.

I just ordered a BLK202A PC insert kit to start my research into these devices, but I am still interested in getting advice for the best way to proceed with my particular application.

I am embarking on a small business project to create and sell "modded" computers. The computers will also exist in a gaming tournament business. Each mod has to be a standard feature that will be placed on many machines, so the time to do each mod must be short. Are there any general words...
